ROOMS 48 - Laganas, Zakynthos - we would book this place again any time

We thought that since Zakynthos is known as the Greek Ibiza, we'd start our holiday in a place where we're not restricted by time. Often such a constraint is breakfast or a half-board dinner, this time we wanted to explore and take advantage of the options ourselves, to get to know as much as possible about the island and one of its most beautiful sandy beaches, Laganas Beach.

We contacted a number of hotels and apartments, but as we indicated in our previous post, it was rather one-sided, i.e. we wrote (email) and they did not reply. Out of this field, Rooms 48 stood out by responding immediately, offering a competitive quote and offering all the help you needed to get to and having a comfortable stay in the hotel.

It was clear why we chose Roms 48 for our first 3 nights, as it was in a great location, just 50 metres from the beach, beachside restaurants, yet set in a green, well kept garden on a quiet side street. There are just 10 cosy apartments with kitchenette, balcony or terrace, and a garden for relaxing and sunbathing.

The apartments are suitable even for longer stays, for solo travellers and couples, as their size means you won't feel cramped. The bathrooms are practical, the air conditioning works well and there is also a pretty good high speed internet. There is also a TV in the apartments with some international channels and of course countless local ones, but we preferred the beach instead of watching TV.

For those who also like to go on excursions, Roms 48 is also a good base, parking is free in front of the hotel if you rent a car, for which we chose MotorClub, thanks again for their flexibility and reliability.

Fatini, the apartment manager, was flexible and helpful with all our requests, gave us great ideas on where to go, where to eat, how to rent a car, so it was like being at home, with family.

We rated our stay at Rooms 48 with 94% and would recommend it to anyone!
